That’s Wasilla’s own Jeremy Morlock holding the firearm, gleefully celebrating the murder of yet another unarmed Afghan civilian.
Jeremy got out of his prison cell yesterday to rat his brains out (not that he has many) as part of his weaselly deal to serve only seven years in military prison before returning to Wasilla to be Grand Marshall of the Fourth of July parade in 2018.
After all, he only murdered darkies, and they’re not real people anyway.
You think Wasilla won’t welcome The Rat home?
Before he went on his murder spree in Afghanistan, he’d already been charged with assault against his wife.
Maybe because she’d told him she didn’t want to go to bed with him at just the moment he threw a beer glass at her and pressed a lit cigarette against her chest?
In that case, he’d only been acting as a good Christian, according to the “thinking” expressed in a column published in the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman.
Yes, Sarah’s hometown paper–the same one that said last summer that Todd or Sarah would be justified in killing me if, as a neighbor, I’d ever stepped across their property line (not that I even fired a shot over Todd’s head when he came barging into my yard to try to scare me off)–has just printed a column in defense of spousal rape.
As Amanda Coyne notes in the Alaska Dispatch, the columnist writes:
The truth is that God has given to us physical needs we commonly refer to as a “sex drive,” and he has designed for these to be met within the bounds of marriage. The trouble comes when one spouse or the other decides to exact retaliation against the other because of some offense and withholds him or herself from his or her mate. This is wickedness, and such is a violation of the spirit of marriage on the part of the withholder. Thus, if these allegations of spousal rape are due to the wife withholding herself in attempt to control or punish her husband, she is out of line with God. And it doesn’t matter how many laws are passed, it will just be another reason why God will not bless America.
So the recession is all your fault, ladies, because you don’t put out for your drunken, violent husbands, who are merely acting upon the “sex drive” that God gave them. If only you’d lie back and think of the Queen, God would bless America again, and unemployment, high health care costs, and all other social ills would disappear.

When I hear about Jeremy Morlock, I always recall this article about Palin since Jeremy and Track played on the same team. Alot could be read into it about learned aggression. Who knows? But it is hard to forget.

I’d thank you for the link to the whole article in the Frontiersman, but I found it revolting. This pastor cites both the Old and New Testament requirements that there be two or three witnesses to an iniquity of a man. So, now Christianity requires that any rape be witnessed by two or more people?
How odd – that’s exactly what Sharia law requires as well.

The thoughts that those kind of people espouse is dangerously misogynistic and anti-human–it simply reflects their ignorance and approval of bad behavior and criminal acts from those indoctrinated with the ideology they call “religion”. These kinds of tactics have been used against women ever since the first males finally noticed that women could produce other humans and they themselves were incapable of it. That one biological fact has shaped human history like no other factor.
The palin’s and everyone associated closely with them, in my opinion, have a deep black dark spirit. They live right on a biologically dead lake. So fitting. Father’s house is a shrine to Alaska’s beautiful but all dead animals. Each dead trophy and bare white skinned bones, uncountable lifeless bones, surrounding, trapped in death, to suffer hanging above their murderer’s insufferable stupid pride – a vain empty attempt of a stupid ego to shout out accolades of the Great White Hunter. These associates & intimate’s act out their mental state’s into dark and secretive actions. Lies to cover up the blackness they spread so that all appears light and cheery (but covers slandering, bullying, false, hokey smarmy crooked & violent passive aggressive blackness). They are spiritually dead. Is there any real thriving in “palin air”? No. Its dead air.
Perhaps it’s the terrible heat here in the Northeast, but I feel ill after reading that Joe.
This post has disturbed me more than any other on this blog.
We truly are spinning out of control into a new dark age. Murlock will get his due, but who is going to hold the idiot who published those words accountable? I keep thinking we are moving forward in our thought process, but the religious wackos who are allowed to publish BS like that keep a large portion of our society crippled.

I so agree. The one thing men cannot do they have to control. And it is property to them, women and children, so they have to control women so they know whose property the kids are. We women were only property, chattel, not full human beings, not so long ago.

Not only rape. It sounds as though any crime committed in secret by an individual or with no more than one witness (burglary, robbery, murder, embezzlement, bribery, blackmail, and on and on) could not be prosecuted! I don’t think that has ever been held to be the case!
I read the word “witnessing” that the monster pastor quotes to mean anyone who can present evidence or can state a case clearly, convincingly, plausibly, can speak. I don’t take the word to mean “eyewitness.”
Many Christians “witness” for Christ (they knock on my door regularly). They are not saying they personally were present and heard him and saw him when he was living. They are stating a case for belief in Jesus as clearly, convincingly and plausibly as they can, i.e., witnessing for him.
The pastor, in my opinion, is ignorant of language, history, his faith, his scripture, and his Christ. He is using religion as his weapon of choice to excuse hate, anger, and cruelty.
I saw that play at a local community theater. My grown daughter saw it with some of her international friends from her university. I told them to listen in particular for that song!
With these absurd Christian rules of “law” and the need for multiple witnesses to rape and othe crimes to be considered to have happened, all I can say is I am so glad this country was founded on the principles of religious freedom and that we do not have a national religion of any sort. If that is what the Christians will come to embrace, we better do everything we can to prevent this from ever becoming a Christian country by proclamation or any other law. Those people are what I call Crazy Christians and they scare me!! Either their numbers are growing or they have become emboldened by SP and the Tea Baggers. I hope it is the latter.

That Frontiersman article was written by a pastor of the Independent Baptist Church. 20/20 just did a segment on this very disturbing Christian sect. One of the stories they told was of a young teen from the church who was hired to babysit another family from the church. The father drove the girl home after the evening of babysitting and raped her. She ended up pregnant. The IBC ejected the victim from the church and banished her and kept the assailant as a member in good standing.
I don’t know much about their family but I do know that when he got married, his sisters specifically all but boycotted the wedding. They HATED his wife. Again, don’t know if that still stands but it was definitely the way it was. April posted a comment under a pic of her and Jeremy at the wedding “I still love you but you’re a ___’ (honestly I don’t remember the word she used so I decided to leave it blank so as not to put wrong words into people’s minds. I also know that Jeremys family is close, the siblings are really close and THEIR friends have stood by them steadfastly through this.
April calls Tripp her nephew and often say I miss you guys.

I am pretty certain Palin was attempting to up her creds with the “might is right” group at this point in the campaign. But, it also could be she was trying to get in front of the stories about her crappy parenting of a son who was having serious anger issues. The stories about Track on the ice during that time showed he spent most of his time in the penalty box due to outrageously violent behavior. Her narratives are always self serving. You can’t trust her.
What just crazes me is this: We follow the various blogs, and know beyond a shadow of any doubt the Palins are truly nuts. So are the followers of this Apostolic Reformation. But present either of these stories to the average Joe (sorry, Joe!) walking down the street and the story sounds soooo far fetched, so surrealistically fantastical that the listener would begin to doubt YOUR sanity. That’s how $arah Palin has gotten as far as she has. If a single event borders on the unbelievable, imagine what many strung together, let alone the entire story sounds like!
Whenever I have told anyone not familiar with the Palin story some of the proven details of her life and the Palin lifestyle, they rear back, look at me as if I was bananas, and say “THAT Can’t be so, it’s crazy stuff” Example the Kenyan witch hunter giving her his blessings in her current church, way back when.
The whole background to her life is like the pretty but dead Lake Lucille where she built her house using probably pilfered materials from the Sports Arena. So, are you saying that humans are only driven by love? What about sex, greed, the desire to survive, the need to dominant or feel powerful? Does love truly call for us to turn a blind eye to the wrongdoings of those we care about, even if the misbehavior harms them, those they supposedly love or even strangers?
Friendship is only one type of love. Does it really mean that you would cover up misdeeds and shortcomings of a person simply because you are his or her friend?
Should a parent or relative turn a blind eye to a child’s misbehavior and defend that misbehavior at all costs?
Should a wife defend a husband’s physical abuse, cheating or wrongdoings against others simply because she loves him?
Should a child who is sexually or emotionally abused remain silent because he or she loves his parents or other relatives who are abusing him or her?
Is that really moral? I think not. We do not help those we love by ignoring or defending their flaws. We simply become their accomplices, and therefore share in their wrongdoing. If we truly love someone, we try to help them help themselves, seek help for them, or help them learn about the consequences of their misbehavior in hopes of turning them to a moral path.
Your definition of love may at first glance seems to encompass only loyalty, but in the end, it harms more than it helps when that loyalty is blind, without regard to what it is the loved one has done.
True love is courageous and seeks to bring forth the best in ourselves for the beloved and to bring out the best in our beloved and for our beloved – whether the beloved is a friend, relative, spouse, or neighbor.
True love of someone or something does not contribute to the destruction of or degradation of what or who we love nor can it justify allowing what or who we love to degrade love itself.
Compassion is one of the highest expressions of love, but being compassionate and supportive of those we love does not mean we should lie for them, ignore their misconduct, or make excuses for them.

What you have to understand is that what these Conservative Christians are practicing is NOT Christianity. It’s a knock-off – a NEW religion based on their selective and very literal interpretations of various pieces and parts of the Bible — randomly mixing bits of Old and New Testaments as if they had all been written at the same time, cohesively, like a novel or something — with Jesus as the centerpiece. Do not confuse its values with the values and principles taught by Jesus himself.

Let me get this straight. We have people going around proudly stating that they are Christians, yet they follow (and cherry pick) the Old Testament. It was my impression that Christians called themselves such after Jesus Christ, of the New Testament. The fellow that preached love, tolerance, understanding and forgiveness. The One who called people to give away their wealth to help the poor, the sick and those in prison.
Most everyone in America knows about the words in red; it’s right there in the bible – the words that Jesus said. I have read those words many times and at no time did I read that women were suppose to be subservient to men. I have never read the part in red where women are the property of men. I have never read the words in red instucting a man to beat his wife or to make sure the wife has three witnesses when she accuses him of rape. I have never read the part in red where gays where not God’s creation. I never read the part where you were suppose to hate other people merely because of some disagreement on issues.
My point is, if you do not follow the actual teachings of Jesus Christ (and if you follow those teachings, you would be a socialist), I have a hard time following why someone would call themselves a Christian.
But there is hope; I did read the part in red where anyone can gain redemption; even the hypocrites have a chance.
They want to take us back to 1880…when women were chattel, children worked 10 hour days, and the white man was king. What is truly revolting is that there are WOMEN fronting this move to demean women. It’s also why the GOP will never have a woman on the ticket again…they basically hate us for being educated, for working, and for having opinions. According to the dominionists, we are to shut up, spread our legs, and have their babies. Period.
Palin’s and Morlock’s are long, looooong time family friends… but have very strange, strange ways of celebrating their “friendship”.
Willow and some girls in her clique from the Palmer Colony High School, aka “Colony Girls” trashed Jeremy & April Morlock’s mom’s vacant house in December 2009. Damage was estimated to be to the tune of over $30K. The home was listed for sale.
The girls got away with it; only boys involved were charged, due to the “influence” of the Palin’s. P.S. – That’s common valley folklore. Meanwhile, Jeremy was in Afghanistan makes his bones. And filling local bone yards. For fun. At one point, Jeremy sent an email to Palin at the governor’s email address. He was pleading for her to use her influence to get him re-assigned out of Afghanistan. It went unanswered.
Once he was busted, $arah stayed silent on the subject of Jeremy Morlock. She didn’t speak up or out for him… even as his sister April accompanied Bri$tol during outings in LA while she appeared on DWTS. It would appear that the friendship the Palin’s have with the Morlock’s works one way, and that it’s a friendship that only benefits the Palins.

Thanks, Joe, for including this topic on your blog (hopefully in your book as well) because, as I see in the comments section, especially from Conservative for life’s comments, The paradox of defending spousal rape, cold blooded killing of innocent muslim citizens, a family in power who turned a blind eye to an email correspondence from the killer seeking, despereately, the help he needed before the murder, and the “milk of christian human kindness” expressed to a new neighbor are more morally repugnant to me, than the friendship this family had for years with the Morlocks.
Something is seriously wrong when anyone defends these actions and failures to act with the broad stroke of all sects that happen to worship Jesus Christ, when clearly, not all of them would nor should agree. The pastor’s words should raise scorn among all proposed “Christians”, yet “:Conservative for Life plays the “don’t judge others” card while painting all Liberals with the same broad brush.
I’m at the point where I see organized religion in much the same light as organized crime. Which seriously compassionate human being can rationalize the opression of women in ancient texts being applied to today’s society? Character Assassination by Association, even if false, is condoned when a self proclaimed “Christian” does it, but it doesn’t apply, nor is addressed when the shoe is on the other foot.

Yes. I concur. The thing about truth is that it may be overrun, overruled, trampled and choked, but it will not die as long as there are those who stand by it, support it and most importantly fight for it. Truth is something we also have to fight to recognize as it is not always apparent on first sight/examination. That is very philosophical, but life cannot be without that facet. Some things are in the “grey” areas and some things ARE just black and white. We would do best if we discern the difference. No. Haven’t you observed that some human’s “inherent” goal is to grab, steal, lie, defraud, fool, and even murder for their goal? Where do you live? Native people in the modern world who come from mixed ancestry – mostly white and Native in Alaska – can be raised with their Indian traditions intact or NOT. They live their “white” ancestry for a few good reasons. There is still a lot of shame in our people of being identified as “Native” (thanks to so many racists who are STILL alive and well in america), so they run as far away from that “Indian’ness” as possible and immerse their minds into a white identity. Don’t you ever lift those lala land fingers and google Alaska Natives and racism? Try it. You might be shocked. Might be, I say. Todd palin is one of those who never identified as “Native”. The 15 year old boy in that photo was plowing his family’s little farm, trying to produce food for those he loved. He did not ask for his country to be invaded, and certainly didn’t ask to be murdered while he minded his own business on his own property. He was robbed of his life, and that act endangered many good American soldiers who will suffer the vengeance that will come down the pike. It also greatly damaged our reputation in the world, and may cause more terrorist attacks against our people and country. It does not surprise me at all to learn here today that the scum that did it is connected to the immoral Palins. They use whatever power they have to get over on others, and apparently, so do the people they know. There is a thread of pure evil running through what the Palins are and what they do. I have often thought that Levi Johnston’s life is in danger because of his bumping up against this bunch of creeps. Everything about them is sickening.
